Slip Cast Tea Pot |
This is a Slip Cast Tea Pot (made using a mould). Once it was poured and dried, I took it home and lightly sanded it to remove any mould joining marks, carefully cleaned it with a damp sponge and then painted it with specially formulated paints know as underglazes. It has been fired to a temperature of 1110 cel, painted in a gloss glaze which is crushed glass suspended in water, and then placed back in the kiln for another firing.
